Worked with GeekPack® & SiteCare.
Currently working as the Website IT Technician for a company in the educational space. My roles and responsibilities fall into both WordPress web developer tasks as well as general IT support for the rest of the team. I ❤️ my job.
I want to build upon and strengthen my web development skills and this blog is to keep myself accountable.
Educational to-do list (in no particular order):
- Complete a Udemy Course I started – Become a WordPress Developer: Unlocking Power With Code. [[14/210]]
- Complete ‘Foundations’ and ‘Full Stack JavaScript’ Courses on The Odin Project.
- Finish Google IT Support Certification.
- Learn Laravel (Sage Root.io starter theme uses Laravel Blade).
- Strengthen JavaScript skills. There are many tutorials out there but I found I learned a lot already by following along Ania Kubów‘s tutorials. If anyone out there has JavaScript tutorial recommendations, feel free to share.
- Read Professional WordPress Plugin Development.
- Read Building Apps with WordPress.
- Ensure I am using Git & Github as I build out WordPress apps.
- Get more comfortable using Linux and using the command line. I recently installed ArcoLinux on my personal computer.
- Complete Linux Lessons on linuxjourney.com.
- Read Linux Bible.
- Read Linux Basics for Hackers: Getting Started with Networking, Scripting, and Security in Kali.
Project to-do list (in no particular order):
- Rebuild website for my cat using Sage Roots.io starter theme.
- Maybe build a simple, fun game for this website too to practice JavaScript.
- Rebuild header for company website (built with Sage Roots.io).
- Build a classic WordPress theme for the WordPress directory.
